What is Large
Scale Solar?
Large scale solar or known as LSS, or utility scale solar, or solar farm, i s a solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant at a scale large enough to be classified as “utility-scale”. These plant normally are designed with installed capacity 10 megawatts and above. Through the solar power plant, you will be able to harness the power of sun to generate clean electricity and supply it to the national grid.
In Malaysia, Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic (LSSPV) Programme is a government-led competitive bidding scheme that allows the plant owners to generate solar energy via solar farm and sell it to the grid for a period of 21 years. The LSSPV Programme is managed and administered by the Energy Commission Malaysia. The primary objective is to drive down the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), making clean energy more accessible and cost-effective.
To participate in this programme, potential developers will undergo a competitive bidding process. A. comprehensive technical study must be conducted before submission for the scheme to the relevant authority.

Corporate Green
Power Programme
Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) is a renewable energy initiative that enables corporate consumers to virtually purchase solar energy from solar power producers (SPP) through a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA). Corporate consumers can enjoy the advantage of solar energy without having to install solar assets on their own properties, as there is no physical transfer of electricity involved. This programme supports the growing number of electricity consumers who aim to achieve their Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) targets. It also provides business entities with the opportunity to participates in the adoption of clean energy within their business operation.
How CGPP Works?
Under CGPP, the Corporate Consumer (CC) agrees to purchase energy generated by the SPP at an agreed price. If the actual System Marginal price (SMP) exceeds the agreed price, the SPP compensates the CC for the difference, and vice versa.
